My Pretty Pony :)

Postby Truly » Sat Jul 31, 2010 5:40 pm

Just wanted to share some pics of my 2yo pony Goldie aka Joydens Glitterman
:)

He is half TB so I guess he's allowed to be posted here lol

He is by a cremello Welsh Section B out of my bay TB mare.

I doubt I'll ever breed another palomino as good a colour as he is...beginners luck I think lol

He has the most amazing metalic sheen and is really golden but his charactor is why I love him so much :)

His mum is infoal to Electrum for next year and if that foal is half as nice as Goldie I'll be very happy :)

Goldie is absolutely yummy!!!! How can you stand to leave his stall??? What a gorgeous coat and color. How is he doing in the shows? Lucky, lucky you.

He is truly yummy!!! :)

Is he going to stay pony height or is he venturing into "horse" territory?

Lovely youngster - I can see why you are so thrilled with him! :)

Thankyou TC and Swaps :)

I'm hoping he'll stay under 14.2hh..he is just over 14hh at the moment.
His dad is 12.1hh and mum is 16hh..so I never really knew where abouts he'd finish growing..

There are show classes for over height ponies but I'd like him to Event/Dressage/ ShowJump with a junior rider and they have to be under 148cms which is about 14.2 and a half...plus ridden show classes are for mares and geldings mostly.
I'm small enough to ride him but not young enough for juniors lol

He's only done one show this year (last Wednesday) at The New Forest County Show..he came 5th in the Competition Pony Youngstock class and 2nd in the Palomino Youngstock class :)

He was very well behaved..a bit noisy lol..he has a cute little high pitched neigh lol He was the only colt in his classes.

He's been living out unrugged (blanketed) all Summer as it's hot here for England and was only in his stable the night before because I bathed him.

Yes swaps :)..it's hard to leave him at night..he gets lots of cuddles :)

PS He is the grandson of my first horse as an adult...I lost her Nov 2008 aged 34yo

lovely pony and real nice color! Do you also have new pictures of the Alchemist boys? I think the Knabstrupper should also have a deep golden colour but he may go roaning as that is Knabstrupper genetics.

Do you have some mares in foal to Electrum? He may produce rich golden Palominos too.

Thanks HH :)....I make ponies look big lol.....I still fit on a 12.2hh he he
I can see over Goldie's withers but I can't see over the other boys!

Thanks Gwen :)
I can't remember if I posted the last show that I took the boys?
They are both nice colours too but not the same shade of gold as Goldie.
Crinkle aka Aurumba is more yellow than gold and just under 16hh. Bassy aka Ambassador is more beige and just over 16hh.
Crinkle is definitely darker than he was as a yearling and Bassy is not showing any signs of roaning yet.

It's exciting waiting for Electrum's foals next year :)..one will definitely be a pally and the other three will be either pally or buckskin...I just don't know what shades?
As long as they are all ok I don't worry about colour :)

Here's the boys a couple of weeks ago at Kent County Show in 2yo Sporthorse class.....they didn't get placed but their conformation marks were high......it was just their manners that let them down..they were a nightmare together and wouldn't trot the triangle without leaping about and calling eachother!
I won't take them together again! lol

You're welcome Gwen :)
Yes he is lovely :)..everybody comes and asks me about him at the shows..they think he is Appaloosa but I always say he's TB x Knabstrupper :)
He is a real charactor btw lol...he won't leave you alone..begging to be friends with everyone!
He knocks the wheelbarrow over when we clear the fields of manure and runs off with the shavings fork lol
He is a pita but we love him lol
