He is registered as a Dark Bay or Brown, because the TB Jockey Club registry does not recognize black, but he is really a True Black (does not fade in the summer or have any brown hairs). From their website.


Is he really black? He has what looks to be a buckskin colt on his foals page. I thought it takes a bay stallion and a dilute mare to create that combo, not a black stallion.

Also, is it just me or is he kind of skinny for a 10 year old stallion? He looks like he's just off the track but he's unraced.

No.. a true black can hav buskin foals, if the mare carries atleast one cream and one agouti.

Wish Indian Hemp was 3rd gen on this guy, Id like to bred him to my mare, who's 2nd dam sire Indian Hemp. Darn :cry:
