Aurumba's first day at school :)

Today we took Crinkle aka Aurumba to Ermyn Lodge in Epsom for his pre training with Pat Phelan :)
Everyone seemed excited to see him ......saying he will turn a few heads when he gets to gallop on the downs lol

It was exciting for us but also emotional..just like sending your child to school for the first time :)

I clipped him the day before and he was an angel..he just stood there as if he'd been clipped a hundred times before :)
I just wanted to be the first one to clip him even though I know they are good with the horses at Ermyn Lodge.

I'm going back to see him on Friday and will try and take pics with his updates........I'm borrowing my daughters boyfriends laptop as mine died :(...I try and get online with my mobile (cell) but it doesn't always connect.

I took this pic of him with my phone when we dropped him off...he seemed happy :)

respectfully. i doubt ur horse is very happy with that blanket, unless it's near zero degrees there.

Well they ARE in the UK. LOL! Not to mention he was just clipped so he has very little weather protection of his own.

We blanket year round...if he's been clipped, he should be blanketed if its chilly for sure.

Our barn is already putting mid weight winters on, and it's only just hit zero degrees.
A woman needs 2 animals in her life-the horse of her dreams, and a jackass to pay for it!

Oh Truly such good news and so exciting we ha -4 day before yesterday its oh so cold now the dog jumps in to bed at 5am.
I bet Crinkle didnt know what to make of it did he? how brilliant I wonder if the UK will get the first coloured winner its up to us two truly the race is on how fun!

GOOD LUCK WITH HIM...he WILL turn TONS of HEADS....

People laugh at me when I blanket....I'm in Texas....and it rarely gets COLD in most of y'alls terms...but COLD is COLD...mine starts at 45 degrees for my old gelding...he gets a light jacket......if it's in the low 30's...HECK YEAH...they are ALL going on
