Letter Of Marque - Frame Overo TB stallion

Postby color » Tue Nov 09, 2010 11:39 pm

Mid of July 2010 Letter of Marque bred by Colorworld Farm, Nancy McEachern, stepped off the airplane in Amsterdam to walk on a horse truck to Germany together with two Sabino Arabians from Colorado. He arrived in very good condition. We had only until October 22 to prepare him for his approval in Germany which was just a bit more than 90 days. Since he was trained Western style riding it was quite difficult to get him back into the basic natural gaits but he was such a good boy and learned very fast to be back into the normal movements. He was presented to the VZAP for his approval going from October 22-24 and he received an okay by the Breed Association which was having very well known judges including a Hanoverian judge. They had never seen a colored TB and some asked if we are not at the wrong approval that day as they thought that Marque is a Paint Horse

Here is the video from the approval, unfortunately missing his very good free jumping style as the video company was not allowed to enter the arena for video taping the jumping course.

I've never seen one of those presentations before. It was very interesting. But it seemed he wasn't happy with his yellow ribbon..

I would NEVER mistake him for a Paint. He is TB through and through.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

Very beautiful. Glad that you are able to spread so much color around Germany. He definately looks full tb.

Wow, beautiful! For years I have been interested in seeing a photo of
ancestor, GIVE EM THE AXE (gray H 1965).

I am curious on why two doses of him were combined on this and other pedigrees I have seen.

Madelyn,

it is a gold ribbon and yes he did not like to have it put on his bridle. A lot of horses do not like it.
