Electrums first foal is here at last!

Electrums (aka Casper) first foal has finally arrived!
Samba Beat aka Sammy had a lovely big colt this morning at 1.50pm.He was due on the 25th February but the wait was worth it
I'll try and post pics as soon as I can.
He looks like his daddy (Aurumba aka Crinkle looks like his mum)
He was up and drinking on his own in just over an hour.
His front legs are back at the knee at the moment from being big and overcooked but I'm sure they'll straighten up quickly.
Off to bed now for a few hours sleep

Sorry guys that I haven't posted any yet
I'm hoping my daughter Laura will post some on Monday when she comes to the farm.
She's running the show at our livery stables while I've been down at the farm.
We turned them out today for the first time...just for a short while as his legs aren't completely straight yet although they've got much better in only 2 days.
I think Sammy caught him trotting as he cut his hind leg, it's not bad but I've bandaged it to keep it clean....poor baby.
Lol re the tap tap tap! I'll post them as soon as I can,
It's so frustrating just using my mobile/cell for internet! X
