VERY happy to report that Faux Finish is back home with me!

This was very much my "heart" horse and I am SO happy to report that I have her back home with me once again! :D (shown as a 2 year old below)

I now have her dam (Puchi Trap)

her full sister (TCF Nightlight - shown as a yearling)

and her full brother (Four Feet of Snow)

as well as her sire (Guaranteed Gold)

all under the same roof. Its pretty neat, let me tell you, to have the 2 sisters turned out together in the same paddock! :) They are SO similar - its like looking at 2 peas in the same pod except in different colours! :lol:

FF is in foal to the WB stallion Grande Leviticus for a Jan 2012 foal (yikeys!!! :shock: ) and Nightlight is in foal to the WB stallion Bliss MF for a MUCH more civilized May 2012 foal. I would love to find a nice TB stallion locally to breed both mares to, but unless I can, I will continue breeding them to WB stallions instead and keep searching for the perfect TB colt or stallion to buy specifically to breed to both mares

This has really been a dream come true for me to get Faux Finish back home once again ... :)

I didn't know she was gone...but congrats! Can't wait to see the foals. Pretty neat to have the whole family there. Who is Puchi Trap bred to?

Regardless the fact that the resulting foal coat color may whiten with age (in the worst scenario), anyway, I understand that the following horse beautifully qualifies in several categories.

I don't understand wanting a grey out of either of Donna's mares. Virtually all greys turn white in their first decade and markings are just as useless as tits on a boar.

You have SUCH a way with words Madelyn!!! :lol:

And regardless of whether I would want a grey in my breeding program or not, I really like Snowbound Paisley but he is WAY too far to ever consider shipping mares, especially with foals at side, across to the other side of the country and back for breeding ... It is probably going to run about $2500.00 + - each way for a small box stall and there is no way I can afford or justify spending that much money, plus the stud fee, plus the board and vet costs, to breed to him. I'd probably have close to $12,000 - $14,000 into that foal by the time it hit the ground and there is no way to make money when you have that many upfront costs to start with

Wow, they really ARE peas in a pod, aren't they? Great pics and so nice to see the girls all grown up. :)

Is it just me, or is Nightlight actually a little taller than Faux Finish?

pfrsue, I was thinking the same exact thing! She's younger and taller. And FF isn't a shorty at all. How tall is that Nightlight?

OMG so gorgeous!! I love Nightlight!!! She is just beautiful and so is their dam - Pucci Trap! So incredibly unique :)

oops wrong horse :oops: no offense to Four Feet of Snow (who is alos very nice).

Nightlight, who in the pictures is looking very bay, should give anyone who doubts that "cream" can hide behind black some second thoughts. I wonder just how many other horses over the years were registered as bay or brown, and were in reality carrying cream?

In Milkie's family there's a whole string of rather obscure brown or dark bay/brown mares coming up the bottom side of his pedigree.

Lovely horses, keep up the good work.
