We bought the half to Honey Ryder yesterday and I posted some photos of her on another forum and the discussion of her "spots" came up. She's obviously going to gray out eventually, but what is the right name for these markings? There seems to be quite a bit of confusion on TBC about it.
These pix don't do her justice... I'll get better ones taken in the next few days. She's actually a really nice physical.
Btw, we named her Vesper Lynd to stick with the Honey Ryder Bond Girl theme.

They are Tetrarch Spots and are caused by the graying process.

The more "common" name is chubari spots. Only occur on greys as part of the greying process. *but not ALL greys.

I've never heard/seen someone call them chubari spots other than on a few random websites.
IMO tetrarch spots is a much more common name.

In the non TB world they are or were known as Chubari spots. Anyway they are the same thing and are a grey thing.
