Its currently whale migration season here.. Migaloo who is a white humpback whale has already passed.. and excitingly, some white newborns have been spotted this year.. extraordinary stuff!!

No.. he is very much alive. All whales have white bellies! and the one reported dead as Migaloo a few months ago, was a normal humpback upside down, so appeared white at first glance (if that is what you are referring to?).
What I find really interesting is the element of splash (white near top side of muzzles etc on some of the whale cows!)

You said Miagloo had already passed. HH (and I, before I went googling) assumed you meant passed as in passed away.
