The JC registered her as black. She looks dark brown to me, though.

She's very faded (whatever color she is) so without seeing her when her new coat comes in I'd have to wait and see. She looks just like the fading blacks I've known but impossible to tell about her muzzle in current pic.

Likely a transcription error on the JC's part - she's French bred, and the French studbook has her registered as bay.
