Freaky. What a gorgeous golden Andalusian. He's only a yearling too. I bet people can't wait for him to mature so he can stand as a stallion. He's pretty much got the look that all little girls want their horse to have. Very story book. If I were that lady, I'd try to get him cast in a kids movie.

I have been following his page on facebook. But what color is this and what is the pearl gene? Is he a Perlino? I don't get it.

Mother Nature loves horses the color of dried grass.

Pearl is a recessive dilute. Only expresses with two copies present. Or perhaps it can be described as a weak dilute. Two copies give results like one copy of the Cream gene. It may act to lighten the effects of the cream gene, resulting in a perlino like effect.

Fairly new discovery.
