And another thing, do you think that it would be taking the Lord name in vain if it turns out to be a horse that never wins??

I think it's a nice name, nice for the horse, either male or female, and whether the horse ever gets to the racetrack doesn't matter at all for the name. Just because the horse might not have the talent needed to get to the racetrack and win a race certainly doesn't mean it has disgraced the name. I'm sure you have a plan for your horse should it not be successful as a racehorse, and you would still love the horse, so give it the best name you can, and enjoy it. :D

Allison and Bill,
I wanted to throw something out, this is different and I dont know how anyone would react.

Theory:
Deaconess had a filly( Sunday Belles) that looks like Deputy Minister. Right down to the star and cornet band on his hind leg. What in theory: Because nothing visable showed through by Captains Rebel who is a grey- sire was a grey ect. into the Filly, what if we looked more closly to what the colt/filly looks like, their visable traits when they are young and used those as a tool to predict ability as offspring.
Example-
I see that Belles has Deputy Ministers look, do I take Hear the Bells ( Dept Minister Broodmare) and compare her info with Captains Rebel?

And the Same with the Stormy Jack/ Deaconess colt/filly?

You do know, don't you, that the JC's Equineline database now allows free hypomatings online.

Sorry to tout the competition, but free is free. :)

Mumtaz Begum's son Nasrullah has for certain left a big mark in the modern thouroughbred. Even so the mother of Mumtaz Begum, Mumtaz Mahal should be considered one of the most influential thouroughbred mares in the modern world of international show jumping and eventing. Her sons and daughters have made a big impact in this area.
