As most of you remember, my '03 dark bay/brown TB filly reg'd as Tyler's Run was sired by Radio Star (1997, Storm Cat X Andover Way) and out of Tyler's Tops (You And I X Sounding Off). Radio Star stood at MacMahon TB's, who I contacted just over a year ago and they didn't give me any additional information, other than what I already knew - that he squeezed out two foal crops before his death in some accident in 2003. He only earned $33,665 during his race career and the consensus seems to be that he was stood for his pedigree rather than his performance. He is the sire of 2003 Back Door Deal, winner of $103,558 (that figure could be wrong, not sure how to interpret the data listed in his information box). Back Door Deal, owned by Debra LaBarron and bred by Harlequin Farm, was out of a mare named Crookstown, winner of $35,689, and Crookstown foaled out another Radio Star baby, a 2004 filly.

The other information I was able to dig up about Radio Star was:

So, based on Back Door Deal and other progeny, has he improved the mares he'd covered? Is anyone to dig up the reg'd names of any of his progeny (please?). As for my mare, her training is going well and she seems very businesslike under saddle, and of course, won't race due to breaking a fetlock in a round pen accident prior to me adopting her.
