Anyone out there have the APR's for the 1920's racing years?
Looking to find if BANKSITA, bay stallion of 1926, (Bank - Casita x Enfield) might have had a race record. I see that his full sister PRINCESS BANK at least ran.
Thanks in advance, Pat

Hi Lucy....I thought I sent you a reply...had it all typed up, but must not have sent it..anyway...Thank you so much for checking! I understand about the pre-1940's RR's.
Personally I don't feel that he was raced...but have it on good authority that he was used as a ranch horse for many years in Northern California. He was also used to breed mares on occasion to unregistered mares of several "breeds". Knowing what I do know about the person who owned or used him...he probably was an excellent stock horse, or he would not have been kept around for any length of time.

Hi Lucy...I spoke with the family who owned BANKISTA this date. He did not race...he was in training and broke down (both fronts)...and was used strickly as as a stallion to breed ranch horses. I am told that his get were in great demand. His colts were gelded and his mares were put into broodmare bands and produced on. There's no telling how many AQHA's have this horse in the "unknown" pedigree's. I have a picture of one of his daughters...and she was a looker!
