Have horse's registered name, need tattoo and JC numbers....

This is sort of backwards from what is usually asked for.....

Early on when we started a Thoroughbred Rescue, we didn't write down the lip tattoos or Jockey Club numbers of the horses who came through our program. ( Some did not have this info, but many came to us right off the track with papers.)

Now we officially have our tax exempt status, and need that info for grants we are applying for.

I am wondering if there is a way to find this info if we have the horse's registered name?

If we have to, I know we can call all the people who adopted our horses, but I was hoping there might be another way to get the info without making all those phone calls. We really don't need a large phone bill right now....

Any suggestions on how we might get that info?

Oh, while I am asking, does anyone know of a website that tracks Thoroughbreds that retire? A place where folks looking for horses they bred or once owned, might go to find updated information on them? Since we have the horse's name, and will have their other info, I would like to make this info available to those who are looking for it. I imagine there are many who have lost track of their horses and would like to hear they were retrained and adopted out to a great new home. I just don't know of a site that tracks something like that.
