APR on Music Miss

Postby monicabee » Sun Feb 24, 2008 8:30 am

Looking for information on two TB mares who I am fairly certain are related on sire or dam's side. They are both of obscure breeding:

One we have pedigree info for:

"Cedar County Queen" (registered name) is a 13 year old TB mare (foaled 1995) by Hi Mac (Prince D'Morn x Nameless Miss) out of Music Miss (Hi Mac x Princess Grid).

Yes, she is shockingly inbred - she was trained and tattoed but never raced.

If someone could give me the APR for Music Miss with enough info to add her to the database, perhaps the other mare, the one we are calling "Little Miss" would show up. She is tattooed but it is hopelessly illegible.

They were surrendered to King County Animal Control in horrible shape, but are perking up considerably! It would be nice to ID Little Miss correctly.

APR only shows one other foal for Music Miss - a 1993 daughter of Hi Mac named 'Sappy'.

Sappy is listed as unraced, with no registered foals through 2004. I will add her to the database. :)

"Sappy?" she might be better off going by "Little Miss!" - if that is indeed the second mare we have. They are totally dissimilar in body type and personality, but have the same head and the same lip spot - and the same crappy feet. The age is right.

Thanks for adding the family to the database, Lucy. They are both neglect cases (an old man whose own health was failing surrendered them to animal control) They are now looking way better - even their hooves are responding to treatment.

I guess it answers the question of whether the inbreeding of Cedar County Queen was intentional or not!

Glad to hear it! :)

You weren't kidding when you said 'obscure'....the sire wasn't in the DB, either, nor were the first two dams for either parent. Thank goodness for the APR.
