FELLOWS FROM URUGUAY

Postby Belica » Wed Sep 29, 2004 7:12 am

Hello,

I'm writing from Uruguay, South America. I'd like to have your opinion about mating my following horses:

Don Jupiter
Ball Rock
Belica
Forty Besoteada

I'd also appreciate your comments over them. Their pedigrees are included in Del Mar.

Thanks a lot...

Have you looked at Dr Greenfield? (If he's still down there).
He's a beautiful individual who I think matches up pretty well with your mares. Don Jupiter (5x4 to Hoist The Flag), Ball Rock (5x5 to Graustark, double of family 13c through Shecky Greene and Mr. Prospector), Belica (3 lines to La Troienne), Forty Besoteada (Northern Dancer 5x4, Graustark 5x5, and three lines to La Troienne).

I am not as knowledgeable as I would like to be on South American bloodlines, but I wonder if Argentine champion miler Cafetin would be worth considering for Don Jupiter? The mating would be outcrossed within five generations but has lines of Man o' War, Tourbillon, and Frizette that might match up well.
