Pay Tribute Information

Postby LotusEater » Sun Jun 12, 2005 6:16 am

Hi there...I'm really hoping someone can help me out. I am looking for any information regarding 'Pay Tribute' offspring. I understand Elmendorf Farm's is no longer in operation. Is there any way of tracking the horses and breeders that may have anything to do with Pay Tribute? Also, any information on the mare 'Lovely Lotus'. A while back I owned a horse 'Lotus Eater' who was out of Pay Tribute and Lovely Lotus and he was just AMAZING so I'm trying to track down any relation to him.

Thank you!

This probably isn't going to be much help, but fwiw Pay Tribute was an Elmendorf homebred from the era when Max Gluck owned the farm. Gluck died in 1984 & Jack Kent Cooke purchased most of the farm's holdings. As of the 1985 Stallion Reg., Pay Tribute was owned by Elmendorf & standing at Gainesway. Lovely Lotus had a colt 1984, Proven Lover by Prove Out (as of the '85 season Prove Out was in FL, but I'm not sure where he was for the '83 season). She was barren for '85, was bred to Globe (standing in KY) that year and had an unnamed colt in '86, and another unnamed by Balzac (Gainesway KY) in 1987, which is the last record of her in the APR. After Cooke's death in 1997, most of the Elmendorf mares were purchased by Stonerside, but I tend to doubt Lovely Lotus would have been among them b/c of the lack of record on her after 1987.
