I have in my possesion,29 old recorded races on records in jackets done by Ray Haight of Bethseda,Maryland, titled TURF CALLS. The horses on these records are all Valley Farm's . The horses are Selari...Hello Molly...Impasse...Yomolka...Baghatur...Massai...Do Declare....and one record with no horse listed on the jackets but the race the 29th running $100,000 added Widener Handicap@Hialeah on 02/19/1966.
I would like to know if they are worth something. And if so, who would be interested in them.
They have never been played since in my possesion as of 2 yrs ago. They were found out by the dumpster at our apt by my husband.
I have looked up the lineage of these horses and Baghatur was not found. Yomolka and Massai had no race records on file that i could find.
Any and all help will be greatly accepted.

Widener Hcp 1966
top 3 finishers were, in order:
Pia Star
Selari
Sly Stitch (or was it "shy", can't remember, even though I just looked)
I can't understand whether they are official race calls... a search on Google assures that Ray Haight was indeed a track announcer... so yes, they must be authentic race calls.
I'd contact sources at the mentioned tracks and inquire as to who might want them.
Hialeah (probably??) went out of business a few years ago and it is situations like that which would make your recordings more valuable and sought after by fans and historians.
Good luck.

Hi,
Have added rec. & earnings for Yomolka, and lineage, record & earnings for Baghatur to the db here. Also added same for Massai 1953 x Noble Hero - Bold Lady x Bold and Bad, who I think is more likely one of Valley Farm's than the Massai 1960 of German stock that was already in the db.
