I have a TB mare that was given to me by a friend. She is currently in foal to a Foundation QH stallion. However, I have a bunch of friends, and we thought it would be fun to try to get a race baby. Now, if this didn't work, the baby would always have a home, so no risk there.
One of us is a registered trainer at Texas tracks, one was a jockey and broke race horses, etc. Between all of us, we should have the resources. Another member stands 6 stallions. Would any of you mind telling me who you think would give us the best shot at a race baby?
Mare: Kiss My Asterisk
Stallions:
Naturals Grand
Racing Rhinocerous
Prime Magic
Don Goyo
Tanfith
Cairo
I appreciate any input you can provide! Thanks!

ok, so I guess everyone is just being nice! lol
I know she has never raced, etc. You won't hurt my feelings, just thought I'd ask.

Hey, Maybe try in the main forum with this request.
I'm not anywhere near an expert(I'm even a bad newbie), but I've heard people speak highly of Hail to Reason and Never Bend before. Undoubtedly someone could help you out.
I like Pleasant Colony as a sire, so I'd vote for Prime Magic. heh. no other reason than I like PC's. Then tend to not be winners at age 2 though.
Anyone else you'd consider sending the mare to?

thank you so much for responding! I was starting to think I was invisible! lol
I know people don't want to hurt my feelings, and my mare is not proven, etc. But I love her, and she has some heart, and some old bloodlines.
The reason I listed those stallions, is that one of the people who would own the foal with me owns these stallions. It would be her first TB baby, and I just can't afford a high stud fee when I can get these ones for free, or close to it. No matter, the baby will have a forever home. My current riding horse is an OTTB. I love them!
I was going to breed her to Racing Rhinocerous just for a personal horse some year, because I love the way that boy is built. (big rear end, kind of like a QH). Now he has some colts winning here in Texas this year! And another one that's looking good headed to the track real soon.
Anyway, thanks for your comments, I really appreciate them.
