I found his pedigree:
http://www.wwthoroughbred.com.br/pedigr ... H%20NATIVE
Sovereign Path's career:
" the same year (1956) that Dante died Theakston's other famous horse, Sovereign Path (Grey Sovereign - Mountain Path) was born at the stud. The dam had been bought for 480 gns at the 1951 December Sales. In the end Mountain Path outlived her best son as she lived to be thirty-one years of age and was buried alongside Dante at Theakston. Her daughter Grischuna was sold as a yearling to Gerald Oldham for 7,000 gns and was to eventually become the grandam of his three times Ascot Gold Cup G1 winner Sagaro. Sovereign Path meanwhile won both the Queen Elizabeth II S and the Lockinge S, and was one of the top milers of his generation. Although the male line family is now dying out Sovereign Path, who stood at Burgage Stud, Co.Carlow throughout his stud career, became well known as a sire of sires - with his son Wolver Hollow (Eclipse S G1, 2nd.Queen Elizabeth II S G2 etc) becoming champion sire in 1976, thanks to the exploits of Wollow (2000 Gns G1, Eclipse S G1, Benson & Hedges Gold Cup G1, Sussex S G1, Dewhurst S G1) as well as other good horses such as Furry Glen (Irish 2000 Gns G1), Charlie Bubbles (Hardwicke S G2) and Wolverlife (2nd.Jersey S G3, Palace House S G3). Another prominent son of Sovereign Path was Guy Reed's Warpath who stood at his Nidd Hall stud and was sire of numerous winners, including Guy Reed's Derby fourth - Shotgun, whose dam Brief Flight had been boarded at Theakston for Commander Clare Vyner, who had earlier founded the Thornton Stud. Indeed there are strong Reed/McIntyre links - Guy Reed was a frequent user of Theakston sires' - especially Mandrake Major (Winner of Flying Childers G1 and sire of Major Don), and John McIntyre's daughter Susan worked in the stud office at Copgrove.
