Another possibility is Cherokee's Boy who stands at Maryland Stallion Station..

stakes winner of $1.178 million with a 48/19/10/08 and nine triple digit Beyer numbers..

His momma is not a Toussaud, Safely Kept of Dance Smartley but she was a graded stakes winner of $284k.

MD Sired and WVBRED or MD Sired and PABRED.

Cherokee's Boy. I hadn't thought of him for your mare, but we bred one of our mares (who is too closely bred to Mountain Top to take her to him) to Cherokee's Boy because her family is VERY sound & we wanted to breed sound-to-sound & he has Restless Native, whos runners seem to stay on the track & make money for years. The resulting colt is a yearling, so no race record, yet. But the cross to your mare is interesting & I wanted to mention that Cherokee's Boy is very correct & well-balanced & the folks at MD Stallion Station are very easy to work with, if by chance, you are leaning toward him.

Thanks folks for all the good suggestions. I really like Outflanker, have a foal by him 4 years ago and loved him. I have retired that mare, but he is still racing and the owner, trainer is driving the gelding nuts. 4 weeks ago he ran him in a 4 1/2 and he wins. Last week he puts him in a 7 fl. and he leads half-way and gets tired. He's been racing him like this up and down and the poor guy doesn't know what to do. I have no idea what distance he is being trained for. I feel so bad for him and that is what I worry about the most of my babies if they get in the wrong hands. He was a wonderful foal and very smart.

Only thing if breeding Tour to him, the 2sx4d, Danizg is pretty close and then you add 3sx5dx5d, Northern Dancer, just seems a little close to me.? This cross did produce Chief Crown among other good runners.

Country Only impressed me with his pictures....he looks like a lot of horse coming at you.

Cherokee's Boy would be interesting and how could the foal not be sound?.

Some farms I stay away from in PA. Lost a Devil His Due filly there, because they have a disease in their soil. And ended up losing the mare, because I was afraid to bring her home and infect the rest of my herd. She was a very good mare, but I have one of her daughters.

What about Fantisticat? I really like him and reports on his foals in training have been really good, plus he has a winner.

You all have given some good information and maybe I should post all my mares names so I will be ready for next year!

As an added bonus, both Dance with Ravens and Outflanker bring two very strong relatives to your mare - Sir Gaylord (1/2 brother to Secretariat) and Missy Baba (1/2 sister to Obedient).

I have to agree with you this would be a beautiful breeding, but 2x4 Danzig is a little close for me with a horse that had joint problems in his knees. Very good observation on the Sir Gaylord and Miss Baba connection though. It's too bad it has Danzig up close. I would jump at it.

You might enjoy this article:

FWIW, even tho Outflanker was a very poor race horse, he seems to be throwing quite a bit of soundness. I had an Outflanker filly that ran out around 40 races. She ran 12 times at 2.

Through the right individuals, I wouldnt be afraid one bit line breeding to Danzig.

Fireslam, thank you for the reference to the article. Very interesting...... Tour does not have any knee problems, so maybe, I will have to re-think about Outflanker.

What a tough filly you have! Who was her dam?

Never thought of him. May have to have him on my radar for next year. Pretty high GSV and like the mare's conduit profile of Speed= 13 and Stamina= 15.

I actually tried a hypo on Halo Corley Girl with him and she shines brighter then Tour I think. GSV higher then Tour and her Speed=15 and Stamina=16. Turn to Talent is a half-sister to Too Bald and she also has Dr. Fager in her pedigree. Thanks for suggesting him.

Right or Wrong my choice is Gators N Bears. I do not like the 3 doses of Norther Dancer, but hope it will be ok. Hardy, physcial match, both of them were sprinters was what drove my choice, also the inbreeding other then Northern Dancer.

Thanks to everyone for their input and a lot of good information.

Your feedback on this mating would be appreciated.

Griff,
Not sure what you are saying here....Gators first 2 year old starter is a winner...MSW. His first crop just started to race this year. It's pretty early in the year to have a lot of stats for him.

I only looked at the stats in this data base and did not see any. And it is early for 2 YOs to running a lot of races..

Good luck with you choice.

Hey Griff,
The above 2 year old just ran her second race which was an allowance on the turf and she won. So it looks like they can run on the dirt and turf.
