Mating options

Postby hpkingjr » Tue May 24, 2005 4:17 pm

Thanks so much for taking the time to suggest viable options. Northern Afleet was bred at Hermitage Farm here in Goshen, KY (out of Northern Prospect that stood there for several years). Scrappy T was bred next door to Hermitage at Ups and Downs Farm. I'm sure their mothers could have looked across the pastures at each other. One two in the Preakness. Point is neither mating was expensive at the time. Great results from smart people. Thanks for sharing your knowledge

hpkingjr, congratulations on purchasing this nice mare. I was very interested in her, but the transportation fees to NM would have added almost another $1000 to her price, so I had to pass. (Bought a local mare instead who came up empty this year. Such is life.)

I wish you all the best with her. She has an intriguing pedigree that should give you a lot of interesting options in looking for the right sire.

I'd love to see pics of her if you could post them. The only one that the seller had available was very poor.

Good luck!
