Inureye, Pollard's Vision, spelled correctly, is in the database now. I don't know if it was when you looked.

Could you expound on Siphon, Sysonby? (Why are you partial to him?) I've been forewarned by more than one source to stay away from South American bred sires. What have you found he crosses well with?

Thanks,
BJ

Thank you all for your input. After researching and visiting the stallions in my price range and within reasonable shipping distance, I have decided that Real Quiet is the horse for me. I recently visited with him and he looks great, and should complement my mare well in the physical aspects.

Keith, perhaps you could comment on something that has looked interesting to me...sending a Rollicking mare to Lils Lad, your thoughts? Thanks! AK

You would be line breeding Rambunctious

Postby Keith » Sun Feb 12, 2006 9:47 am

Lil's Lad has been a useful stallion but I do not know if I would suggest line breeding Rambunctious because he was not a great stallion. I would strongly consider Mr. Prospector bloodlines as you know Gulch is by Mr. Prospector-Jameela by Rambunctious. Rollicking seems to like Allen's Prospect, Sir Gaylord, Mr. Prospector, and Runaway Groom bloodlines. Another horse to consider may be Will's Way who is by Easy Goer-Willame by Tentam. Rollicking seems to like Raise a Native and Rollicking is the broodmare sire of In The Curl who is by Shelter Half who is by Tentam. I does not seem Rollicking has done that well with Northern Dancer bloodlines as far as a broodmare sire of stake winners.

btcountess....just curious about the facilities at O'Sullivan. (?) I am interested in their stallions but haven't had the time to visit. What type of housing is available for visiting mares, etc?

O'Sullivan is a small farm but they've been renovating their facilities and recently build a new stallion and broodmare barn.
