Without the other half of the mare's pedigree it's not enough for me to go on to express an opinion.

What is the name of your mare? As for Running Stag, a person on another board claims that the first 4 runners of Running Stag that ran on artifical turf won with an average payoff of around $30. Maybe he will be the first great plastiturf sire.

I believe she states above that the mare's name is Sexiano. I like the match..

Again thanks for the reply. I finally figured this site out. lol O.K. Our Mare's name is Sexiano. On the Dame side she has Seattle Slew. Sexiano made $60,000 around Texas before she fractured her Sesmoids.
And we are Thinking hard about breeding her to Running Stag. We know he came from Florida but have no Idea how his Babies are doing. He is listed as Leading 3rd crop Sire in Florida but stands in Texas now.

wade, pull up the hypo mating of my stallion, COUNTER PUNCH, and your mare. Granted PUNCH did not win the money Running Stag did but I believe PUNCH'S pedigree is far superior than the other horse. And we are only charging $500. He stands in Opelousas, Louisiana. The overall numbers are better with PUNCH and at a tenth of the stud fee. If you like Cozzene then give PUNCH some consideration. He is correct and has a great disposition.

Wish you the best whatever you decide,

Larrygene

Actually, for what it's worth, I like Larrygene's Mustang Jock with Sexiano. A LOT.

Take a look at Burning Roma's pedigree to see what I mean. Also look at Hollywood Story to see what a return of Khaled via Wild Again to Sexiano's broodmare sire's family can do.

Crossing Mustang Jock and Sexiano will be 4x4 to Nijinsky II, 4x6 to Khaled, and 5x5 to Raise a Native. With respect to Raise a Native, I wouldn't let 5x5 scare you off since the sources are Rubiano and Easy Goer.

kimberly mine, thanks for that positve advice to MUSTANG JOCK. You are correct about the mating but since wade obviously likes Cozzene, thats why I brought up COUNTER PUNCH.

Thanks again,

Well, if you want to stay in Texas.... consider Uncle Abbie. Based upon the dam side, you might just get very lucky. Uncle Abbie is the sire of the Texas champion two year old filly, Wrenice who was produced from a Seattle Slew line mare. He is the top second year stallion in Texas with a pedigree virtually identical to Lemon Drop Kid. You can check out the nick on the KeyRanch.com website. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do.

Agree with Running Stag.

Also consider Parade Ground.
