How would you rate them for "breed to sell" potential?
I Follow You - Follow the Music by You and I
Sweet Maria - Marienburg by Langfuhr
Young Devon - La Malleret by Chester House
Thanks!
Would like your opinion on these mares!

None did very much at thentrack but all have interesting pedigrees.
i've looked at commercail 2 YOs and the good selling ones seem to be large, athletic, have excellent conformation and out of "commercail' stallions. What would these mares contribute to those requirements and which stallions are you considering.
It also depends on what you consider a "breed-to-sell".
Are the nares with you in Ontario?

I Follow You and Young Devon are both listed on CANTER PA. Both have photos available for conformation.
Sweet Maria is for sale in Ontario, she's the only I've seen in person. She is 16'2 and very correct.
I would go to an Ontario stallion and sell at the Ontario sale. I would hope to at least break even or make a small profit.
EDIT: Madelyn, what is it about her you don't like?

Young Devon's more accomplished (a winner) and better bred half-sister (by Woodman... a proven broodmare sire), Lady of the Woods, only sold for 7k while infoal to Najran.
That should help give you a good idea on the commercial marketability for this filly.

Don't be so humble - you are not that great.
Eeek. Roach back, long pasterns, weedy neck, long cannons, etc. etc. Her conformation amply explains her $2500 purchase price, against a $25,000 stud fee, at Keeneland '03 September. The sire average for that sale was $78,735 and she was 17/17 so she must have been pretty bad then. I think you would lose your shirt breeding Young Devon to sell the offspring.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....
She's got a good enough pedigree. It's the family of Dixieland Band and Ole Liz, who has made herself into a nice foundation mare.
Sky Classic has all the tools to be an excellent broodmare sire and this filly could hold her own on the track.
Catalog wise you'll be looking at a blank first dam and a very weak second dam.
I would also point out the 3x3 Northern Dancer is a little bothersome to me, BUT its done in a balanced way. I would just stay away from anything Northern Dancer.
I would say if you can get her for $3,000 she's an option. If they want anything more, save your money for a sale.
