Is there anything positive to consider here or is it just too much, too close? Opinions?

2 x 3 wasn't too close for Atlantic Ocean. In fact, Stormy Atlantic also had Hot Storm being bred back to Slew.

Personally, I love the 3 x 3 to Slew. But, it depends on the specific animals being used too, i.e. soundness, conformation, performance. As I've mentioned to you before, I think your stallion can be maximized by inbreeding, and by using fast (and sound) Mr. P line mares. Mutakkdim mares would be ideal.

If you're looking for fast and sound Mr. P line mares, go for a Cryptoclearance mare with a bit of speed on the dam's line. The sire provides the sturdiness.-

La Troienne...might Crafty Prospector broodmares also be a good choice for soundness?
