mating Advice for Jenny Bug
So I am moving this to the correct spot on the board. Jenny Bug. Any thoughts! Be specific please! Like I said before I am a little slow
I like to get your opinions because I really do not have time to do extensive research. With a farm to run and 2 small children.
Scrimshaw
Hi folks
What's the knock against Scrimshaw. OK some don't like Millennium. I have to think that Lucas burned him out as a 3yo. Some of his earlier races were very impressive and I think his 2 yos will surprise.

Run the race - the one that's really worth winning.
I personally like Scrimshaw a lot as a breed to race sire and he is a very nice looking stallion. I have a beautiful yearling colt by him and I have'nt seen a bad looking foal of his at the sales. Scrimshaw definitely "stamps" his foals. Unfortunately, his progeny don't have commercial value (although I have seen a few sell reasonably well) as they don't tend to bring much at the sales. Millenium doesn't support their stallions, so from the commercial aspect I tend to shy away from them. I do agree with you on his 2 yo runners next year--I think the better bred ones will surprise. Now that they've dropped his fee--I think he's a heck of a deal!

Hi Jane
She is on foal to GONE FISHIN for this year. I wanted to breed her back, but someone on the board told me it wasn't a great cross. I can't even remember who it was. I will see what the foal is like and see if I will breed her back. I am only having 3 GF foals myself this year and I have 6 other mares I am considering for him. So I don't know if I will even breed her or not. It takes a lot of time and money to get the foals to the races and to the sales. I only have one commercial mare. The rest are out of good hard knocking race mares. I will try to sell some privately as well. So the rest of the babies it is up to us to get them to the races. I really do feel that his foals will sell well especially the ones from the very good mares that he got last year. and there won't be that many going through the sale. From what we have heard from people there is a bit of a buzz about his first crop. Apparently he was a very well know and liked boy! I do really like to hear the opinions from everyone on the board. So many different ones, all carefully thought out with their own reasoning behind them. I find it fascinating. Doesn't mean I will take anyones advice.

This one was a bit of a puzzle. Momsfurrari has yet to appear on the list of broodmare sires of graded stakes winners.
Moving down to Danzatore, on the broodmare side, the results are OVERWHELMINGLY wanting Mr. Prospector on the sire side, or Raise a Native at least.. and very suggestive of one other strain of Northern Dancer through a son.
I may be able to get you a very good deal here in KY, pm me if you are interested.
Thanks
Madelyn
