I need some help with a Thunder Gulch mare, Dreamin of Thunder. Does anyone have any suggestions on a stallion? I am very stumped on which way to go with her. She is a smallish mare, correct up front front and nicely proportioned.
If you know of farms which are open to foal sharing I would be very interested in that as well. Thanks for any advice in advance.

Hagley
I tried graded winners with Thunder Gulch as the broodmare sire and came up empty. I then tried a search using Hagley as the dam's sire. There were six graded winners including English Channel and Henney Hughes. Of the six, four were Mr. P line stallions, one Storm Cat and one A.P. Indy. 4 out of 6 makes me think look for a Mr. P line stallion.

Hi there,
Your mare traces tail-female to the Calumet powerhouse Two Bob. You might look at reinforcing Two Bob through On-and-On (Alydar), Tim Tam (through Known Fact, Tentam, and Gone West), and Miss Carmie (Chief's Crown and Concerto).
Your profile says you are in New Jersey. Is that where your mare is located?

Breeding Area
Which state or states are you willing to send this mare? We can really have fun looking if you give us an area.

Hpkingjr---Sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this. I would think Kentucky would be the best state to breed her. She is currently in NJ.
When this mare was a foal still in the mare, the owner turned down 200k for the mare. He regrets not selling her then.
He would like to sell the mare in foal to a nice stallion and hopefully make a profit. I was recommending that he consider a foal share with a first year stallion that might do the trick. I am not sure what cross might work best with her but I also need to have the farm that stands that stallion be open to a foal sharing or outright sale of the mare in next years breeding stock sale. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
