Indy Mood or Private Lap?

Postby Roguelet » Mon Feb 04, 2008 8:39 am

There are a few mares that I am still on the fence about, though in most cases I'm leaning one way or the other. But, I wanted to throw this out to the experts in hopes of receiving some feedback that I might not have previously considered.

What I'm looking for is strictly pedigree advice only... I already have a handle on conformation, produce record, race record, life history, etc. I was considering outside stallions for a couple of the mares this year, but now that we have 2 stallions to support, I need to keep them all home and breed to one of the "local men."

So, strictly based upon pedigree alone, do any of you see any overwhelming reasons to go with Private Lap over Indy Mood or Indy Mood over Private Lap on the following mares?

Beatrix (Private Interview)
Classy Patty (Classy Prospector)
Corelate (Smile)
Fancy Reality (Proper Reality)
Indecent Proposal (Proponent)
Lizard Blizzard (Mt. Magazine)
Many More (Numerous)
Mo's Miracle (Cat's Career)
Shesasassiedancer (Daufuskie Pirate)

Shesasassiedancer (Daufuskie Pirate) - I did not see anything in the immediate female family to suggest one sire over the other.

Beatrix (Private Interview) - Lizard Blizzard - Sweet Lover
could find a reason to choose Indy Mood or Private Lap for these mares too

Love Private Lap with Beatrix...Damascus line does really well with Northern Dancer.

And like the Numerous mare with Indy Mood...again AP/Slew over Mr. P seems like a positive nick.
