I am thinking of breeding my mare Bold Missy. Her pedigree is http://www.pedigreequery.com/bold+missy3.
I am thinking of breeding her to Centerion. His pedigree is http://www.pedigreequery.com/centerion.

What do you all think of this breeding? I like his conformation and movements. The only think I don't like is he has small bones. My mare has big bones on the other hand.

I want all opinions whether they be good or bad. :D

Indy, your mare was a hard knocking blue collar type and her family appears similar in type. The stallion you are interested in showed little on the track.

I would be looking at proven stallions for your mare. Choose a physical type that will match or improve any weakness then fit her with the best pedigree.

I think she deserves a lot better than that.

Madelyn, I'm sure if you pay the stud fee Indy will breed to whoever you choose. But, I'm sure she is getting a "real deal"!!! Know what I mean???

You get what you pay for sometimes. The cost of caring for the mare for a year and raising the foal is so significant one should at least start with a GOOD stallion.

Madelyn, you're preaching to the choir if you're talking to me!! I totally agree with you.

Please read the article on Rocking Trick by Michael Ventura and then look at your mares pedigree.

http://www.pedigreepost.net/archives/RockingTrick.html

Rocking Trick loves Bold Ruler, Bold Missy is 4x4; Rocking Trick loves Never Bend and Buckpasser, Bold Missy has both; Phone Trick loved the return of the French blood Tourbillion and sons, your mare has at least two strains. If you want a breed to race baby look at Rocking Trick. I can show you a yearling from Rocking Trick from our mare Techno Vision that has much in common with your mare. If you're interested talk to Madelyn.

Not to be argumentative, but how does anyone know what Rocking Trick "loves" until he has some foals that have raced?

Love

I love the word Love, sorry if it was too much puffery.

Did you read the breeding analysis on Rocking Trick by Michael Ventura? Your breeding thoughts? Insights?

I have alot to consider. I know that Centurion has been laid up due to injuries and he is now in training to start racing again. I have alot of information from you all to look over and to consider.

Thank you all for your feedback.
