Maybe Heavenly Dancer is worth to give her a chance or two, but it's still risky. The other mares are likely not worth to breed them.

Originally I noticed that a couple of the mares in the list were on Equine Now, for sale. I don't spend time analyzing mares "pre-purchase" but I spent the time today to pull the listings. It appears they are all owed by the same farm. They are pretty heavily overpriced, especially Corridor Lil, who has absolutely nothing redeemable in the way of race pedigree or family.

Bam is not a truly bad mare pedigree and family wise, certainly hard knocking and might be okay for breed to race. But she is 13 and the dam of only one foal, according to my APR. I don't know if she foaled in '07. If you had a stallion (or season) that matched her pedigree wise and you weren't sinking money in or committing to pay a big stud fee she might be a decent farm mare, again for breed to RACE.

Of the three, the only one, in my opinion, that I would consider spending money breeding is Heavenly Dancer. That said, $5K would be absolutely tops in stud fee that I would consider for her.

bam

She was a sweet and very hard knocking mare--she was around on the Maryland tracks for a long time--I think she raced until 8 or 9. She is half to Pud by larrupin. She was bred by King Leatherbury and raced by him until she was claimed.

The price is probably too high, but she is a doll.

For Heavenly Dancer you should consider going to
Seeking the Best
(Enters stud 2008 at Hill 'n' Dale Farm/Ky. )
from the blessed family of Glowing Tribute (Sea Hero, Hero's honor, Yell, Mozart, ...)

Two of these mares are currently for sale, in foal, on thoroughlybred.com.
I'll meet you on the other side.

If I were to look at any of them, it would be Bam - hard knocking & presumably sound, free of commercial lines, so there are ways to breed her. Where she has inbreeding, it's generally sex-balanced [i.e., to Princequillo through both parents & via 2 daughters & a son, Ribot through a son on the top & daughter on the bottom].

For our stallion, the fact of the Ribot & that there's a daughter of Royal Charger in there [albeit real far back], plus her soundness [at least as evidenced by the # of starts] would get my attention & even if we weren't adding to the herd, would encourage me to give a good deal on a stud fee, presuming they were a match, conformationally.

On the other hand - if I owned her or was considering buying her, I would go into it knowing I was definitely breeding to race, as there's nothing really commercial about her.

And even then, I'd want to look further into her pedigree to discover what distances she ran & what tracks she liked - because I'm guessing she could help you in a state-bred program but only if the tracks suited her style [some horses hate Charles Town's bowl of a track, for example, while other horses relish it] & if the racing secretaries carded & filled races of her desired distance [because I'm simply guessing her offspring would like a similar distance].

Bam might actually work well with Doneraile Court. He is reasonably priced and another daughter of Marine Brass with Princequillo inbreeding on the bottom has worked quite well with him. See Brilliant Prospect. I don't know what they're asking for her, but that might be worth a shot.
