El Prado for this mare?

Hey everyone, your advice was so helpful on my last post I thought I'd ask one more. We have a multiple graded stakes winning mare named Masseuse who will be bred for the first time next year assuming all goes to plan. I posted briefly about her last year since we thought we were retiring her then, and got a few responses including Rahy (who is certainly among the possibilities, as is Giant's Causeway). At the moment, though, we are leaning toward El Prado for her. Since this is her first foal, we are thinking a commercial breeding and we'd like to see how much we can get at auction for one of her yearlings. I've also seen that El Prado with Roberto line mares has been a pretty successful cross.

Basically, since this is clearly a pretty big decision, I'm looking for either reinforcement or new ideas from every source I can find... please feel free to throw out anything you think about this.

Thanks in advance for your advice!
Justin

Awesome Again or Ghostzapper? A lil pricey, but they seem to get some high priced youngsters.

Why not Invasor? Best to the best and a bargain at 35K.

I really like Bernardini with this mare! Go to the Darley site and analyse her with him. It really is a great fit....I know he's new..and he's a lot...but I think he works well....

If you do not breed to El Prado I hope you will choose a proven stallion with at least 17 starts per runner or if you choose an unproven stallion it will be one who retired sound with a decent number of starts not one who retired early with only 12 starts after a fracture. El Prado has a G1 son Artie Schiller in KY at $15K. First foals born this year. He had 22 starts and won $2M. According to AP 5,000 Thoroughbreds were euthanized at race tracks since 2003 and they do not even have complete records. Good hard dense bone is important. Some horses have been euthanized because of fractures before they even got a name.
