need some suggestions for our new mare, 'Away Ahead', by Barkerville out of Miss Cue. Ontario sires preferred. Thanks for your advice!

I would consider Tomahawk
linebreeding
Seattle Slew 2x4 through Tomahawk and Houston
Mr. Prospector 3x4 through Barkerville and Mine Only

Legal Jousting
Your mare is from a family of two-year old producers, and the only black type is with those two year olds.
I'd try to capitalize on the early maturing distaff and add some depth via the sire line.

here is a picture of Away Ahead taken a couple of days ago, just so you can see her comformation and take that into consideration when making recommendations.

We've been offered a breeding to Devil Begone for Away Ahead, so thanks to all who replied. We're going under the lights, so we can get an early foal. Wish us luck!

Well, Devil Begone didn't work out, so Away Ahead was bred to Laura's Lucky Boy. She has been confirmed in foal today, so that makes 4 of our mares bred to him, and all in foal. He has an excellent record for getting his mares in foal!
