I think you might be taking on a difficult task to breed a 22 year old mare who has apparently not had a foal since 1995.

I was thinking the same thing, I just like her lines. She is for sale locally and I would love to get her and give her a nice home, but need to make sure it would be worth it! I think what they are asking for her may be a bit too steep for the maybe/maybe not game. Just wanted a few second opinions.

Um. If this mare was free I would not take her. There is a really significant lack of black type and class on her distaff side.

Giving her a nice home would be the best thing you could do for her. I am surprised that someone is trying to sell her as a broodmare. Sounds like she may need a good home.

Well, she is certainly not free! I do agree though, not worth the $ to buy. If they do end up deciding to give her away I would take her to retire her here, as I have the room, but for what they are asking I am going to have to pass.

Repriced

If I had this mare I would try the old guy Repriced. Full sisters , Delta Queen and Bramalea. Balanced Princequillo and Nasrullah, Bull Lea 4x5.
Fun pedigree to play with.

The resulting foal would have a very weak catalog page. Neither she nor her dam has produced anything. The third dam produced a $225K Secreto yearling who went 0 for 16 as a two year old earning nothing. If they are asking money for a mare, they are reading too many novels. Your vet bill to breed her could outweigh the value of the foal.

If the mare is still sound and fertile, I think you can try to get from her a hurdler/steepler.
In Georgia you have the right stallons, and they are not very expensive:
Colonial Gift, Fitz, Prince Joe.
