I recently bought a 13 y/o mare. (Shananies Presence), She is currently pregnant to Slew Gin Fizz and due in April. I sent her to Puerto Rico and I'm considering 3 stallions standing in the farm taking care of her. The stallions are Ordway, Greedy and Casanova Star. Any suggestions on which of these sires I should try, thanks

Are Greedy, Casanova Star, and Ordway proven stallions, as I am not familiar with them?

OF those 3, I like Ordway the best. Brings together La Troinne together 6x6. Also get a build up Closanase. I don't like Greedy at all as he looks pretty brittle.

Hi

Ordway stood in Ky until last year

Greedy by Seeking the Gold has sired a couple stakes winners from about 20 to 25 runners in Puerto Rico.

Casanova Star by AP Indy, his first foals are 2 y/o.

Thanks

Hi!

I would consider Greedy because In Reality lines cross well with Mr. Prospector lines.

Smarty Jones by Elusive Quality- I'll Get Along by Smile(In Reality)
Unbridled by Fappiano-Gana Facil by Le Fabuleux 2nd dam by In Reality
Crafty Prospector by Mr. Prospector-Real Crafty Lady by In Reality
Empire Maker by Unbridled-Toussaud by El Gran Senor 2nd dam by In Reality. Greedy has a solid pedigree.

I agree with Rick that Ordway is the best choice both based on his very nice race record and the pedigree match-up.

There have been some good ones crossing In Reality and Mr Prospector, but Mr Prospector is so endemic in the American Breed that I don't find it quite as impressive as Ordway's grandsire Deputy Minister's success with In Reailty:

United Nations H (GI) Winner Request For Parole; Prioress (GI) Winner House Party; GIW Sprinter Midas Eyes; Champion 2YO filly Halfbridled; Travers (GI) Winner Ten Most Wanted; and BC Classic (GI) Winner and 2004 American Horse of the Year Ghostzapper all combining Deputy Minister and In Reality within four generations.
