Ribot and Hail To Reason Linebreeding

On another thread, Ribot and Hail To Reason linebreeding was discussed as a positive that has resulted in high percentages of stakes horses. I was considering breeding African Nights to Precocity (by Aferd), but was told by the pedigree expert I hired that Precocity wasn't a great match for her. In checking the hypomating, this cross would result in a foal that was linebred to BOTH Ribot (5x5) and Hail To Reason (6X4), and in what looks to me to be pretty good placement within the pedigree. The body types appear to match (haven't seen Precocity up close and personal yet), he's currently the #1 stallion in New Mexico in terms of progeny earnings, and I breed statebreds. Looks like a pretty good match to me, at least on paper.
Can anyone comment on this? Am I missing something? In your opinion does it look like this would be a good match? Why do you suppose the expert didn't feel it was?
Thanks,
Laurie

Hi Zialand,
It looks good to me; what's the name of the analyst and did he/she give any reasons why he didn't like it?

Hi llbean,
Thanks for your comment. Of the stallions in the NM program, Precocity was one of my top picks and I was a little dismayed when I was told he wouldn't be a good option for African Nights. No, the analyst didn't give a specific reason why, just said the stallion "didn't fit her very well". He's a regional analyst so you probably don't know of him, but PM me if you'd like more info.

Is there a thoroughbred breeding website for New Mexico? We have a horse, with a real good pedigree that didn't make it to the races for a number of reasons that is standing his freshman year this spring in New Mexico. Wanted to see if there is any information, advertising, etc about him. His name is Your Eminence.

Chicago, I haven't heard anything about this stallion, as yet. You can try the NM Horseman's Association directory if he's a registered stallion in the NM bred program.

Thanks for the help, Zialand. I went to the website for New Mexico breeding and found some things. He stands at Weatherly Farm, and this was his first year. I hope he gets some mares, because he is a fantastic looking horse, and comes from a real good family.
