Is linebreeding to Alibhai desirable in a pedigree. Info on the database stated he bowed both front tendons and never started. Was soundness an issue with his progeny or was he considered a good source of soundness?
Thanks,
Laurie

Angi Go is line bred Alibhai 4x4
Angi Go a Grade II Stakes winner by Idaho's Majesty-Angi Mo by Whitmore is line bred Alibhai 4x4 through Flower Bowl and Determine. Bowman's Band who won $1,295,774 is 5x5 Alibhai through Flower Bowl and Traffic Judge. Majesterian who won $262,294 is line bred 4x5 Alibhai through Your Host and Flower Bowl. Why Jan a multiple winning stakes winner $308,440 is 3x4 Alibhai through Your Hostess and Why Lie. All of these line bred Alibhai horses involve Flower Bowl and her full sister You Hostess. Then there is Seacliiff a Grade III stakes winner who is line bred on Alibhai 4x5 through siblings Moslem Chief and Believe Me the 2nd dam of Elocutionist. I do not know about the soundness issues of line breeding Alibhai.

Thanks Keith. I would say those examples are a pretty strong indicator that Alibhai linebreeding is a positive.
I am familiar with Seacliff. He's a son of Valid Appeal who stands here in New Mexico. I don't think his first NM crop has hit the track yet, but I believe he's had a few good runners including Sea Of Green ($651K). Doesn't look like soundness is an issue in his progeny as many have 20-60 starts.
Thanks for your comments.
