Lion Hearted has Secretariat, War Admiral, and Man O' War.
Weekend Surprise has Secretariat, War Admiral, and Man O' War.

Thanks What mare thats still alive and able to foal will be good to sire an Afleet Alex foal that has secretariat and man`o war in the blood 1 or more times...!!!!!

Is there any horse that has man`o war and secretariat in the same generation if not just 1 or 2 at the max. generations away from each other....????? :?:

Not too many. Azzaam, Weekend Surprise, and Lady Winborne (dam of Al Mamoon, and Lost Soldier) come close.

Black Gold,Smarty Jones,Lion Hearted,Weekend Surprise,Concerto,Azzaam,Lady Winborne,Al Mamoon,Lost Soldier
like with secretariat and man`o war in the same generation or only 1 generatan apart from each other....?????

Hi AA#1fan

You're not too likely to find them in the same or close generations in a pedigree, since Man O' War was born in 1917 and Secretariat in 1970. Since the next generation generally occurs in about 5-15 years, they're chronologically about five or six generations apart. Also, because of the amount of time that has lapsed since Man O' War's era, you don't often see him any closer than five generations back in a pedigree.

Sorry, her name is Saxifraga (born 1999). Saxifraga and Secretariat both share Bold Ruler and through Warfare there's Man o'War.

Bold ruler is on both the Sire and Dam's side for Saxifraga. Saxifraga has Damascus (career winnings $1,176,781) on the Sire's side, which also has Man O' War on the Sire's side.
