For racing?

I looked up his PP's, and well he has did nothing. I wouldn't breed to him. Meadowlake's aren't doing so well now anyways, and I definetely wouldn't breed to a horse that is by a stallion that isn't great, and the stallion himself hasn't did anything. I don't care if he was built perfectly and had sperm of gold.

Since you are located in TX, are you looking at some of your local stallions?

Thanks Sarah, I was just looking at him, but he is out of state. I am looking at local stallions with a few in mind. Any suggestions?

I only took a very quick glance, but Pedigree Wise, I really like Hollycombe with your mare and he is in TX...

I really don't know your area well..but I scrolled through sires in texas and here are some that stood out.

Dove Hunt, in that price range..he would be my pick, if you are willing to spend a bit more....well I would have a few others I would look into.

Once A Sailor, little bit on the cheaper side..but looks alright, hasn't sired too many horses..not bad percantages..and has some hard knocker's in the line..and at this price you are looking for a tough horse that can get some paychecks not the next kentucky derby winner.

Boone's Mill-not one of my picks since i know nothing about him. But i did see two of his offspring at the keeneland sale, in the pavilion(didn't look at them closely), but they had nice bodies..other then that, never heard of him, just myself I am curious about what's he's did and what's he's produced and if anyone knows a bit more about him.

This is strictly on sires, depending on what kind horse you want(something that tends to be running early on, later, a horse for sales, etc), all of this will vary greatly..especially on the conformation of your mare and her genetics.

Sarah,
wow you are giving me food for thought. ok i have always liked dove hunt but my filly is by a danzig son?? do you think that's too close?

i never noticed once a sailor but now that you mention him if we decided to keep the foal and race this once could cross well with my filly, especially if the bianconi isn't very sound. not sure but his foals didn't seem to get to the track.

wow on boone's mill, glad you mentioned him too. he is $1500 he won a G2, and 2 G3 2nds. $400,000 i was told by a breeder this year that studs that win in the Graded stakes tend to have better odds at siring winners. well he has 70% winners....
