HI all, well it is that time again, I plan on trying to buy a season at one of the auctions if I can..but if not I cannot go higher then $7500-$10,000 range and that will kill me..lol..
Smart Devil By Devil His Due. I believe her current leaser would prefer that she foals in Kentucky.
http://www.thoroughbredcharities.org/auction.asp
there is a list of seasons in the above link..
What about the stonewall horses? Or what are thoughts on Behrens? Have his foals been selling well?
I want to sell Smart Devil's foal at the sales if possible. Thanks!
Stacy

My idea is trying to reenter the excellent blood of two of the greatest mares in the TB history: Ballade and Cosmah.
I found
Austinpower (Sunday silence-Eishin Austin out of Ballade) but with no racing record
Sligo Bay (Sadlers wells-Angelic Song out of Ballade) winner and stakes placed
all the sons of Glorious Song (Grand Opera, Haymarket, Rakeen, and another one who, in my opinion, if far too expensive...)

Do you mind shipping to Maryland?
Waquoit's best foals, hands down, have carried significant amounts of Turn-To. Five of his top six earning foals are tail-male to Turn-To. The best ones were out of Halo mares, with others carrying Cyane, Lord Gaylord, and Turn to Reason. I don't know if he has any foals who are out of Devil His Due mares, or if he does and they are too young to run. Waquoit over Smart Devil would be very similar to the useful stakes-winner Docent, Waquoit's second highest earner. Waquoit also seems to appreciate a cross of Balladier, with stakes winners carrying crosses to Spy Song, Double Jay, Clandestine, and Spring Double. Your mare carries two strains of Balladier, through Spy Song and Noble Jay. $5000 at Northview Stallion Station.
Another interesting option, also in Maryland, is No Armistice. The powerful female influence Banish Fear is found in the pedigree of both Cosmah (through a son) and Prince John (through a daughter). Linebreeding to this mare through Halo and Prince John has proved explosive. Roses in May is the latest representative of this cross. Devil His Due also sired a successful filly in She's a Devil Due, out of a Fappiano mare. Crossing No Armistice over Smart Devil brings in the Prince John cross through Hold Your Peace, and Fappiano through Unbridled. The biggest disadvantage to No Armistice is that he is unproven. He stands at Country Life Farm for $3000 LF S&N.
EDIT: Roses in May's broodmare sire is Speak John, sire of Hold Your Peace who is the BMS of No Armistice. Peace Rules carries the Devils Bag/Hold Your Peace cross I was thinking of. It worked well in both occasions, and has worked well in other instances across several generations.
No Armistice will probably be a better seller than Waquoit, as he is young and a son of Unbridled. On paper, I think that a Waquoit would be a better runner based on Waquoit's history at stud.

Second choice Albert the Great 7.5K Kentucky
was looking at the success of spite the devil.
