we just purchased a new mare, Lagaylia, who is in foal to Harlan's Holiday. Would appreciate any of the very fine help on this forum in choosing a stallion to breed her back to in May. Stud fees of 20K or less will be considered.
Thanks for the help.

sire for lagaylia
Great choices, Keith, and thanks. I think we have decided to give her the year off and position her for an early start next year in hopes that her son by Came Home or one of his siblings does well on the track next year.

Lagaylia
Congratulations - this mare had some real ability on the track, was very fast. I saw her run at Keeneland.
From your comments I assume she is in foal on a late cover?
I am a bloodstock agent and mate roughly 60 mares each year. My general process is to first determine whether you are breeding to race or sell, then analyze the mare and her family. I generally provide 3 suggestions. I am paid by the farms when I act as agent and order the contract (most farms pay a 5% commission). The stud fee should not vary if I am involved or not; the only difference is the amount that stays with the syndicate (or stud farm).
If you are interested in talking more about Lagaylia and your plans, please send a private post with your contact info and I will give you a call.
Again congrats on this nice mare and best of luck with her.
