Desert First - by Polish Navy out of Capture the Moment by Raise a Native.

She has produced a few small winners (one stakes placed) but she hasn't been bred to very many good quality horses. She had two runners that looked like they were going to be decent. One was the stakes placed horse that was sold to someone in Ca. and shortly after he developed colic and died. (so I was told but not for sure).

Does she look like she might be worth a try and if she does what type of stallion do you think she would cross well with. What price range would not be considered overbreeding? I would appreciate any replies positive or negative.

Cat Thief has been bred to the female family of your mare 1-a, one time, resulting in a filly that sold at the Keeneland Sept '04 sales for $130,000 as a yearling . Interestingly, this filly's tail female goes back to MISLEADING, as does your mare's, then both are bred to the TURN-TO line thru CYANE a few generations later. Also, your mare has LA TROIENNE in both the tail female of Polish Navy thru BUSANDA and CAPTURE THE MOMENT thru COHOES,which would nick with the presense of LA TROIENNE in Cat Thief thru NO ROBBERY.

Cat Thief stands for $10,000 at Overbrook Farm in Lexington. I can't comment on confirmation, so maybe someone else can help with that. I don't know what you're looking for in location or price, but this looks like it deserves some consideration, regardless if you are racing or selling.
