I purchased 5 seasons at auction for 5 mares and would love oppinions on who goes best with the stallions. Stallions=Congressionalhonor(ForestryxQuiet Dance by Quiet American), Fastness(Rousillon x City Fortress by Troy), Close Up(Capote x Video Piano by Fappiano), Mo Mon(Marias Mon x Sewing Lady by Key to the Mint, Regal Sanction(Regal Classic x Northern Sanction by Affirmed) also might get Defrere(Deputy Minister x Sister Dot by Secretariat).

Mares=Slew o' Jewels(Slew the Slewor x Julie Loder by Bucksplasher), Lyrac Dancer(Parfaitement x Model by Ribot), Jackoranda(Western Echo x Lyrac Dancer by Parfaitement), Mellaluka(Party Manners x Lyrac Dancer), Cloud Mover(Mighty Magee x Lyrac Dancer. All input is appreciated. Thanks much, Lee

Fastness - Slew o' Jewels may be an interesting mating
the others stallions (but Defrere) IMO aren't worth a mare.

The interestingly inbred mare Cloud Mover is worth a try with a proved midlle-range middle-aged stallion.
Considered she is ND and MrP free, I suggest NOT FOR LOVE

I fret over trying to put one pair together much less 5.

I would change mind if they were mine but at first blush I paired them

Congressional Honor + Lyrac Dancer
Fastness + Jackoranda
close up + Cloud mover
Mo Mon + Mellaluka
Regal Sanction + Slw o Jewels

GSV hi to low would be

RS/LD
CH/Mell
MoM/SoJ
CloseUp/Cloud M
Fast/Jack

matings 5x5

thanks so much for your thoughts. Do you think GSV should weigh heavily on the decision? All input is appreciated.
Thanks again, Lee

I look at GSV intially but in the end I look at the horses and then make the choices. On paper and standing in front of you are two differnt things.

after watching the Keeneland sales I would say that GSV plays very little in the value of a racing horse.
