Wow Sales Talk is from some of the old classic california lines. By Willie Pleasant (trained by C.B. Hixon) out of the Berseem mare Be Queenly; this is a great and productive old family.

The baby looks ok from what I see.

I really like the hip on your foal. And from the looks of that mare, she needed someone nice to come along and buy her and fatten her up. Best of luck with both of them! :)

I dont know for sure if the meat buyers were at this sale, but there were many going for 350-400 that were stakes winners and producers. basically one man had these mares since they were very young, bred them over and over to the same crap stallions and never raced the foals. alot of them deserved alot better! the foal by the way is a colt. he was born at the sales barn the day before the sale. he's alot of horse for his age, very good on his feet and fiesty as the come LOL. there going to love the grass in TN  cant wait to see both of them blossom!

WOW...nice foal...nice hip :D

Do you have any idea who the sire is? And what plans you have for him?
I try not to listen to the voices in my head.
But sometimes they have such good ideas

Thought the sire was Touch Tone... Sure is a pistol. Mom needs some food, though. My lactating mares can get up to 21 lbs of grain a day, depending on the mare.. if they are down a bit when the foal is BORN, it is really hard to catch them up. Might need teeth floated too...
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

Yes the sire is Touch Tone. Momma is thin, she had been stabled at the sales barn for a while in not real good conditions. I started uping her feed the moment she walked out of the ring and was mine. she was starving! She is in route back to TN as we speak. Vet is waiting to do exams on both. she does need a good floating on those teeth.

Mare and baby need some quality nutrition. Someone didn't take very good care of her...unless you have one of those take 200 lbs. off cameras.

Whatever price you paid...Thank you for getting them out of clearly bad hands. I'd have them tested for disease. They look like they came from a feedlot...the mare is all bitten up. Sorry...I cannot get by the condition of the mare.
