Which lines to use?

Postby SimoneL » Fri Mar 31, 2006 1:51 pm

Hi,

I want to use a stallion named Russian Courage, but which lines would be sutable to cross him with?

I'm thinking of a mare with some Targowice and Plugged Nickle blod.
How does it match?

Thanks, :)
Simone

Targowice= Prince Rose sire line.

Plugged Nickle=Rabelais sire line.

Let me get back to this reply and I'll check these sire line for a nicking pattern cross with RC ala nijinsky II.

Your mare is by RC, but who is the dam sire of your filly?

Hi Louis!

My mares grandsire is Targowice, and dams sire is Plugged Nickle.

I want to use Russian Courage with her...

Maybe I should use another mare with him?

Thanks for your reply,
Simone

Hi Simone: I dont have any nicking patterns for RC, but I have some for NijinskyII.

Nijinsky II produced superior nicks with mares that traced to the sire line of Prince Rose.

N was bred to 103 mares from the sire line of Prince Rose and produced 72 winners and 28 SW.

N was bred to 92 mares from the sire line of Rabelais and produced 53 winners and 19 SW.

If you have any mares with Double Jay in their family, they will nick with RC as N was bred to 19 mares and produced 13 winners and 4 SW.

Do your research and good luck in the breeding of a superior runner. Yours in Sport Louis.
