mating advice for luhuk filly

Postby brooke » Sat Apr 15, 2006 2:43 pm

ok decided to buy this girl, her name is Premier luhuker. im not sure yet what direction i will take with her but always consider breeding. opinions on pedigree strenghts? she is around 16.1 qh type build. and is a Sabino and Rabicino. very nicely put together. unraced due to partnership problems. stallion choices need to be 5,000 and under FL or KY. I breed and race myself.
There will be discouraging times. But a life without horses;
Now that's discouraging.

I like heckle in Florida but I would haggle the fee.

I like Vision and Verse in KY but higher than you wanted.

Forty niner seems to do well with Seattle Slew too if you have a sire in that line you like.

Brooke---you can't go wrong with Stark Ridge or Eltish in Florida. I get very good numbers on both of these stallions at bargain basement stud fees--- both are very good if not excellent breed to race stallions--- I would opt for Stark Ridge if I owned the mare, as I get better numbers on him. I think he gives you a very good race horse for a 1k stud fee.
In Ky--The only horse that comes to mind would be Evansville Slew.
I make these stallion recommedations based upon data from my private evalution system, advertised stud fee, location of stallion and my personal pedigree knowledge. Hope this helps and good luck with your decision.
best regards Brendan
