Anyone know much about him and how his broodmares have fared?

He stands for $1250.00 at Woodstead Farm in Chehalis, Washington.
Have no idea about his broodmares. Stallion Page at the Washington Thoroughbred Breeders Website. Kathie

defensive paly

I had a colt by him when he stood in KY. I sold him and the new owner/trainer ran him to death. I have not seen him seen him since late last summer. He ran in 1 1/8 mile dirt races and he went wire to wire winning by 9 1/2 lenghts in one and 5 1/2 lenghts in another, etc. They were so greedy and not giving the horse a break between races and I suspect he has an injury. I suspect he could have been a stakes winner if he had the right connections. He was a beautiful and smooth ride/mover. I wish Defensive Play was in the Mid-Atlantic I would breed more then one mare to him.

Happy, What was the breeding of the mare ?
It appears that WA state doesn't have the right mares for Defensive Play.
His fee has been cut in half this year. He is a most regal individual.

She is from the Prince John line and her dam was from Ack Ack line. I would think mares from the Northern Dancer line would go well with him.

Derby winner and early Melbourne cup favourite Efficient (By Zabeel) is out of a Defensive Play mare, and yesterday his half brother Guillotine (By Montjeu) won on debut as a two year old, which is out of character for a Montjeu in the southern hemisphere

Has Defensive Play had any other big winners as a BM sire of late?

Run the race - the one that's really worth winning.
