Keep the Faith, by Sunday Silence out of Duelling Girl by Dayjur broke the Widener Course record for 6 furlongs.

My question is, I know he did it at age 5 and breeders love to go mainly for snappy American dirt racing as a 2yo (cuz they just love to do things that annoy me instead of looking to classic distance pedigrees grr) but he's got Sunday Silence for a sire and he's obviously got speed so could he perhaps be snatched up from Australia and kept here for breeding given that they already took him here to race? Any chance in Hades? I just like getting my mitts on SS sons so even if we could'nt have him maybe we can get a little of our own back. And being Australian-bred, would they maybe then shuttle him cuz he'd perhaps have appeal back home too?
Am I crazy and did I think way too hard after reading the bloodhorse article or is there merit?

He'd be given a chance, but I doubt there'd be a real warm welcome unless he steps up and wins a few stakes. He's got speed and there is nothing foreign about his pedigree .. there's nothing really appealing about it either, though. It's the Sunday Silence allure that would get him to stud, but right now, I wouldn't risk more than $5,000 on him as a stud fee.
Just wanted to clarify (even though I posted this on another thread), this wasn't just a course record that Keep The Faith broke, it was a North American record for this distance and surface that had held for 15 years.
From the article...
Keep the Faith, a 5-year-old horse from Australia, set a North American record and shattered the Widener Course record by winning the 6-furlong seventh race in 1:06.82 on closing day of the Belmont Park spring meeting Sunday.
The previous 6-furlong North American turf record was 1:07 by Answer Do under 115 pounds at Hollywood Park Dec. 15, 1990. Masterclass owned the previous Belmont Park record at 1:07.31 under 114 pounds May 24, 1992.
Although I don't think this colt would have tons of draw as a commercial stallion, at least initially, I definitely think he'd have his takers. Especially those who admire this particularly line and regret the loss of Sunday Silence to foreign soil.

So many pedigrees...so little time. (C)
I still don't know how many really do regret Sunday being sent to Japan. There is still no indication that he would have been anything other than "just another bay horse in KY" had he stayed here. He didn't have much of a chance to prove himself as a dirt sire, but he is without a doubt a grass sire and his sons seem to be doing the same.
This colt has speed but it's on grass. Not much call for a speedy turf sire stateside. He'd be better served to try and hit as a regional sire in Florida first than starting out in Kentucky.

We'll have him back anytime Sam!
Speed and good legs will take him a long way!
Wonderful galloping action also. He looked like he was doing it easily in his Australian wins yet he almost broke a 1600m track record over here but only looked like he was having a track gallop.
Even though the female line is not exactly littered with Blue Hens the dam sires read like a Who's Who in the champion broodmare sires category.
Here's hoping he goes on to bigger and better wins!

Hypothetical, since I have no real money for buying stallions haha, how much would it cost for a horse like Keep the Faith if you wanted to stand him? I just wanna learn about how to determine how much it is to buy stallions not immediately expected to stand for 100K in KY using other factors like regional marketability, potential for precocity and conformation, etc. Also what stud fee would one set to attract buyers in this hypothetical market. Feel free to assume he's a regional sire in a particular location like Florida or NY or CA,etc...
