If you search the stallion topics back thru April, you will find quite alot of postings about him. There are quite a few people here who have bred to him it seems, including myself.

Millennium Wind was a fine racehorse and may make a good sire; too early to tell. He's a big horse with relatively small feet that were not dealt with properly when racing, and caused him problems. His feet have grown a lot since retiring to stud. Despite exercise and good diet, he's gained lots of weight, so that he now looks very coarse, and does not give as good impression as he did earlier.

His stud fee has been dropped to $5000 and he may become a good breed-to-race sire if the right mares are chosen. I suspect his progeny will be unlikely to sell well in general, due to his physical idiosyncrasies. I would not recommend sending him a sickle-hocked mare or mare with suspect feet. I like dealing with Millennium Farms, and they are trying to have good value sire prospects. They will deal.

The mare that I consider my best-bred is in foal to him, and she is a solid-built mare with good conformation. (Vivid Dreams).

I've worked with two Millennium Wind babies and they both are exact replicas of their dams. He doesn't seem to stamp his babies in the least.

Millenium Wind is headed to Highcliff in New York for 2006 and will stand for $5000.
