Marketing and adverstisement is a key component of any business or industry. I think it is everyone's best interest within the industry to foster our sport. (I try to do my best every chance I get)
I can't imagine anyone wanting to see a breeding farm that doesn't have some interest in the sport. Stonewall is an incredible facility and I highly recommend a visit to their farm. I am sure if you ask to see their stallions they would be glad to oblige. You can always tell them that you will be shopping at the auctions in the fall and you want to see what some of their stallions look like in the flesh. Good luck and have fun.
What are some farms in Paris KY near Clairborne?

I don't think it's cool to MISrepresent yourself. If you're a racing enthusiast, say so. If you're a breeder, say that. If you're looking to buy racehorses, but not really get into breeding, I'm sure they would still be happy to show you the stallions. Anything to help their sires' offspring sell well. However, I really bet that most farms would prefer to know just who they're dealing with. They probably wouldn't appreciate taking up their time with someone who's not being honest about their intentions.

I always identify myself as a fan who wants to take pictures of stallions. I don't think it is right either to pretend to be someone I'm not.
BUT every fan is a possible future customer! And you don't know which ones might be. For that fact they have no idea if I am poor or rich. I could be a rich fan, fall in love with one of their stallions and go out and buy some babies by him or get some mares to breed to him. Treat everyone like a potential customer. I know of the farms that I have been to some have been VERY welcoming and some have been well, less so. I know which farms I would be patronizing if the chance for me to buy, board or breed ever comes up... And which I won't.
We always go at the end of July, hardly the height of well anything judging from the skeleton crews we see (not much of...). I would never dream of going as a fan during breeding season but some of the stallion people seemed HAPPY just to have something to do when we got there!
And they liked the tips too.

Every mighty oak was once an acorn that stood its ground.
